Concept
The RITMO collection arises from the dialogue between sound and art, two forms of expression seeking to achieve the same level of abstraction and formal perfection. On the one hand, Taranta music transports people with the rhythm of the tambourine (which has become a symbol of Salento) and a fast and engaging melody. On the other hand, conceptual art, with its unconventional language, invites us to explore new dimensions.
To represent sound, the graphics draw inspiration from conceptual art and the artistic movements that flourished in Italy during the 1950s. Among the featured artists are Dadamaino, Lucio Fontana, Piero Manzoni, and Enrico Castellani.
Repetition and geometric structures create an imaginary landscape.
The RITMO collection introduces a new alphabet of symbols, using lines, dots and triangles as metaphors for sound, people involved, instruments and dance. An invitation to imagine and interpret the graphics in a personal way.
These "sound geometries" evoke sensations and emotions through a universal and primordial language that transcends linguistic and cultural barriers.
The collection is contemporary yet timeless, introducing new visual languages that speak to all generations and withstand the test of time.
The wallpapers dress up and transform walls into a hybrid space between the past and the future, evoking the style of the 90s while also projecting towards digital art.
Collection
Pittaggi
The cobblestone streets of the italian historic center come alive with people on pilgrimage and others heading to the square to participate in the festivities. A network of signs, which follow the urban structure of the ancient city, tells the story of a rich place steeped in history and traditions.
The result is a modern blending of the past and present. The vibrant atmosphere is created by shades of blue that recall the setting sun or dawn, key moments that make the "piazza" space full of life and beauty.
The power of color: creating a multifunctional space through chromatic choice.
Ronde
In the city, places are randomly populated by people who gather in circles, with a couple of dancers in the center.
During the Taranta festival, these circles form to create spontaneous dances. They are an integral part of Salento culture and represent a moment of unity and celebration.
Their randomness has given rise to a pattern made up of triangles (similar to the dancers' scarves), lines (representing the participants) and circles (like the tambourine) that enhance the environment like contemporary decor. Their abstract nature makes this wallpaper extraordinarily unusual and able to capture attention. Awe and wonder mix with shades of red and earth tones.
The beauty of simplicity: a minimalist spa that invites relaxation and wellness.
Stornelli
Spread throughout Italy, the tradition of "stornelli" dictates that the musicians are accompanied by tambourines, accordions, and guitars. Like stories, "stornelli" come to life with sounds and characters.
The graphics reflect the moment of creation of the songs. The abstract figure evokes images of ancient stories being told on the street or an old tambourine being played. The composition is characterized by geometric abstraction, a cloud of signs that conveys a unique visual and sensory experience.
The recipe for the perfect living space: simplicity and elegance.
Taranta
The folk dance of the Taranta takes its name from the venomous spider whose bite is believed to cause a kind of delirium.
The graphics follow an apparently random order, reminiscent of the weaving the spider does or the improvised music of the tambourines. A pattern of signs of different sizes creates a rhythmic effect on the wall. The colors enhance the dynamic visual effect.
Innovative layouts for the home: interior space design can improve your health and well-being.
Mietitura
The Taranta dance is linked with the bite of the spider, which often occurred during the wheat harvest.
The representation plays with colors and abstracts a wheat field being blown by the wind. The result is a huge contemporary work that conveys a strong sense of movement and dynamism. The signs depict the energy and vitality of nature.
Like in an alphabet, the letters become signs and in their systematic repetition, they tell stories from the natural world.
A unique and original foyer that makes a difference.
Morsi
The wheat fields once extended right up to the walls of the ancient city. An old trail leads to the field, where the spider could bite one of the farmers at any moment.
The sun is about to set, symbolizing the end of an era.
The artwork evokes a sense of change, of transition between the past and the present. Two parts that, although divided, meet and give life to an evocative and suggestive experience. A modern depiction that engages and excites. Nature never threatens human.
A refreshing and welcoming space. The bedroom is an oasis of calm.
